Harvest

I went out yesterday to take some pictures of the big combine Mr.T. was running the catch cart for a couple of days this week.

It is huge. A 16 row combine. It takes up all of the road and more.

While I was there he was catching for an 8 row picker and dumping in a semi trailer..

They will be done soon. Another season is around the corner. Soon it will be time to plant again and start the process all over. Time seems to go by so fast.
Have a great week j

Back home

I just wanted to post a short note that I am home. Not all well but hopefully getting better everyday. The 6 hour stay turned into 5 days in the hospital. Not something I ever want to do again.
I have to share that Mr. T., bless his heart, stayed with me the whole time. He slept on a too short cot each night. Drove 2 1/2 hours in one day to go home to take a shower and 2 1/2 hours back so I would not be alone.
I am blessed with the best man in the world. His care and concern got me through this ordeal.

He is my sole mate. Thank you and I love you.
God is good.j

Beautiful day

It has been a wonderful day. I decided to take a few pictures to share here. Blue skies and white fluffy clouds.

Nice breeze. Everything good except the no seeums. They are biting.
My tomato plants did very well this year even with a lack of water the last month or so.

The grape tomato, the red and yellow cherry plants had hundreds of tomatoes.

The barberry bush is turning a bright red.

The Japanese Maple looked very healthy.

Mr. T has been working on the greenhouse repair and finished the door today. The greenhouse is in the patio area south an to the right of the main house and fence you see in this picture.

This small space gives me much joy in the winter. The fish live in a tank in the winter. Thanks Mr. T for the repair job.

We will be headed to Rochester this week. Pray they find the cause of my problems.I am better but need to know the cause. Have a great week.j

Scarecrows,witches and cornhusk dolls

Over the years I have made many scarecrows, and witches. I thought I would share some with you. The scarecrows are displayed inside and on the porch.

All but one of the witches stay in the doll room on a shelf. Not enough room to display them with the scarecrows. The one is sitting on the rabbit she is wood.

The corn husk dolls I have collected and treasure. I have them displayed on the buffet this year.
I have made many and know the time and effort it takes to make a corn husk doll.
The small one to the left of the one with the apron was made by our oldest son when he was in middle school. He is now 45.

Last picture is of my favorite witch. She is an oil painted cloth doll and has been sold. Her name is Matilda Jolie, Tillie for short. She is made from my MJ pattern.
I am linking to Marty's table top Tuesday. http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/
The buffet counts?Right?
Stop over and see all the wonderful fall displays.

Have a great week j
