I have had a couple of false starts with her.

First off I forgot to do the messy mix on her and had done a acrylic base flesh color 

So I did the messy mix and it did not make her head as firm as I wanted so I put a layer of rigid wrap on her head.

Basically I was starting over.

I then added a layer of modeling paste over the rigid wrap. That was put on with a paint brush then smoothed, and sanded.

Next I painted a base coat of oil paint.

The process was not my normal way but worked out ok.

Her head was not as smooth as I like but I am satisfied with her now that her face is painted on.

I had made her arms but find I do not like the hands on this pair of arms so I will remake them soon. 

She will then get clothes and a bonnet.

 The first picture is of a doll a friend wanted clothes for so I made her a dress bloomers and a bonnet She is * inches tall. The others are some snow people made using salt shakers. Gifts made for family and friends.

New hobbies

 I have done so many hobbies in my lifetime so far. Many have turned into businesses. I have taken up water color and acrylic painting.

My newest hobby is really fun. I have done several paintings. Some better than others.

I have found I like drawing the most. It is how this all started. I knew nothing about acrylic of water color painting.

There are many youtube videos way too many for me to watch. I discovered wash and ink. It is what I like most and think I will focus on that.

I will continue to draw. It is relaxing for me. Something to do in the evening

The first picture of a light house was a failure. I was going to cut it up and use the back of the paper for sample paint spots.

I decided to experament with different ways to fix it. It is still a poorly painted picture but I learned different ways to use paints and brushes. 

So much fun.
