For years I had my sewing craft rooms in the basement. We then had a
flood in 2008. The rooms are now used for storage. Every thing is on
shelves above a flood stage. I had a request for information on a doll I
made and needed to go down and search for that information. I did not
find it but I did find a few things I had forgotten I had. I found the
yard sticks I want attached to the edge of my new cutting table. I also
found a sweet dress and a doll purse.
The dress is one I bought
somewhere 2nd hand. It had never had the closures put on. I pressed it and
added snaps to the wrists and back. It is perfect for the china I
recently gave a new body. She needs a broach or bead necklace. I will work on that soon.
I
also found a doll purse I bought off e-bay. Don't even remember buying
it. It was still in the shipping box, said it was from NY state.
I
had a doll purse as a child. Not the same as this one. A good memory.
Making salsa today. Lots of tomatoes off those 6 plants. Have a great
week. j

Sorry about the water in your basement. This is the first time ever we've had a basement and it is packed with everything! That's a sweet little dress. I have a little china doll head but didn't know what to do with it. I guess I could make her a body? Did you use a pattern. The little purse it adorable. Don't you love to find things you forgot you had?
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Shelia, I made up the pattern for the doll body. I had no luck finding one on line. judy
Love the china head doll. So nice that you completed the outfit. Always fun to find something forgotten and put away. Both dolls are great.
