Time

It seem time goes by so much faster than it used to. I know it really does not.Maybe because I am older and things take me longer to do,not sure. I started decorating right after Thanksgiving. I am still decorating. I know I know how can it take that long? Well I got into the attic for decorations I have not had out for years. Some just a few years others many years. I love to decorate for Christmas and I really go over the top. Some say out of control but I decorate for me no one else. So many memories in those things packed away in boxes and totes. First 3 pictures are from years past. Last are from this year. Just a start .The outside tree is a fake tree this year. A beautiful tree I got for $5 at a thrift store.The big nativity is on the front porch.Too big for inside. The last is the corner by the front door. I will share inside pictures soon. I have been thinking of the dolls again. I did do a witch this year 2017.Thought I'd share.She is one of the UFDs I have. She now keeps me company in the sewing room.

This is a stump doll I made for a pin cushion challenge.

Fall

Well fall is here. Most of my plants are done but the flowering cabbage is so pretty I thought I would share. I sure hope there are a few warm days in November. I would like to do the Christmas decorating outside in a bit warmer weather.

I finished a wall hanging . Jenny Dorne had a tutorial for a wall hanging that had a pumpkin cats and witches hats.I did just a pumpkin using 2 1/2 inch squares.j

New things

Here is our Abby with her new hair cut.All that black hair on my floors was more than I could stand.

 I have worked on some quilt table toppers. 

Fall decorations are out inside but only a lonely pumpkin outside.

Two more days and it will be time to take down halloween and put out thanksgiving. How can it be that this year is almost over?

I love the fresh fall flowers they have in the flower shop. a $5 treat for me.

Added a small shelf to display some of my little quilts.Our sweet Ziva usually shys away from having her picture taken. I caught her off guard.

The last 2 pictures I got the ideas for off pinterest. added orange lights to the old oil stove. The Christmas trees are made from painters cloth and part of an old feed sack. Fun and not a lot of work.Not time yet to display but it will be soon.

Life's busy.
After Tom's death I did not do much. We reached the one year September 6th 2017. Since then things have been moving along.Trying to get through all the stuff collected over 50 years. The kids came and moved some big pieces of furniture from one room to another. I am working on deep cleaning all. It is going to take a lot longer than it used to.
My sister Belinda and I facetime most days. She in her sewing room me in mine. We have made many small quilts and table runners/toppers.
One problem with that is not getting anything else done.
This is in the new to me tv room. Was the computer room.

 Working on taking all the stuff off the cupboards washing and deciding what to keep and what needs to go away. Lots of work. Climbing a ladder is not as easy as it once was. It does feel good when one room gets all done.  Take care j
